Global warming news: My smartphone knows me well enough to keep recommending news about global warming! Lately, there have been several articles about the Thwaites Glacier in Antarctica, often called the “Doomsday Glacier”. Don’t worry, the Doomsday Glacier isn’t collapsing yet, but it is melting faster than anticipated, just as other glaciers worldwide have been melting faster than anticipated. Maybe if we do a second volume of this cli-fi anthology, Book Two could have stories about the Doomsday Glacier (which is more dangerous because it has an ice shelf) collapsing suddenly, putting some cities underwater overnight!
